Free Income Tax Assistance

Appointments for the 2023 Tax-Filing Season are almost filled!

Jackson County United Way offers FREE tax preparation through our Free Income Tax Assistance Program. This program is for households with a total income of $64,000 or less and is made possible through the work of many volunteers giving their time and expertise!

Our appointments are first come, first served basis and will be taken until the available slots are filled. Below are the options for filing your tax return with us this year!

The following weekend, you will return to First United Methodist to pick up your tax documents and sign the paperwork for us to e-file your return. This type of appointment takes about 30 minutes, and the follow up appointment takes about 10 minutes.
