Meals on Wheels Turning Point  

Anchor House is a homeless shelter for families with children and operates a community food pantry. Our Mission is to Foster Lifetime Independence. To reside at Anchor House Families need to live or work in Jackson County, have legal custody of minor children under the age of, have a limited criminal and Office of Family & Children history. Our program is centered on obtaining employment, saving 50% of all income with mandatory participation in Parenting, Finance & Nutrition classes. We offer GED preparation and pre-testing. Anchor House strives to provide a drug and alcohol free environment for its clients with a zero tolerance policy. Alcohol and drug testing will be done upon entry into our program and randomly thereafter during the client's stay. Our goal is to help stabilize one's family including secure housing, better money management skills, steady employment, contacts for appropriate social services, increase your parenting awareness and focus on nutritional needs.
