What is a Volunteer Action Center?
A Volunteer Action Center is a place that develops volunteerism in a community as a whole and serves 3 purposes: promoting volunteerism, providing leadership opportunities, and connecting volunteers with opportunities to serve in Jackson County.
What can the Volunteer Action Center do for me?
The Volunteer Action Center will provide easy access to a wide range of volunteer opportunities at non-profit agencies in Jackson County. JCUW has created a website of opportunities on www.volunteermatch.org and there are also two AmeriCorps members who can assist those who wish to stop in the office for a one on one service.
