Jackson County United Way Announces Annual Meeting & Campaign Wrap Up

Jackson County United Way (JCUW) fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our county.  JCUW does this work with deep partnerships and collaborations ensuring impactful programming that creates measurable, lasting change.  The funds raised from the annual campaign go to support 20 certified community partners and their program work focused on their part of our mission.

JCUW is in the last weeks of the campaign and has processed $647,644 to date toward the goal of $850,000 for the 2019-20 campaign.  “We have dedicated, employee campaign teams that have worked hard to spread the message of the UW and raise additional dollars. Thank you to everyone who is working so hard for this UW campaign and our community,” said Nate Tormoehlen, Campaign Co-Chair.  “While a few campaign divisions have reported strong numbers which will help the United Way to continue to help fund each community partner’s community work many have come in lower and we are short of goal.”

There is still time to give and help JCUW reach its goal to serve more residents in need. “Please consider a gift to United Way at this critical time,” stated Tonja Couch, Jackson County United Way Executive Director. “We need your help. If you have not given yet, it is not too late to give.”

Ways to give:

  • Give online at www.jacsy.org/donate
  • Mail a check to PO BOX 94, Seymour IN 47274
  • Give in person at 113 N Chestnut St, Suite 301
  • Pledge over the phone at 812-522-5450

“With the annual meeting less than three weeks away, we need the community to help with just a little more financial support to ensure we can be the kind of community it hopes to be one where we are known as a place where we work together for solutions for neighbors and generations,” added Couch.  “By listening to the community to understand its’ hopes, concerns and actions steps- JCUW has worked to pull together resources and create collaborations in order to address what hundreds of residents told us.  Now we need people to give a little or give a lot, to help further this work in 2020.”
